Abstract:
In the context of urban-rural transformation and development, rural areas are confronted with practical challenges of population aging and rural hollowing. As typical forms of rural settlements and important carriers of historical and cultural heritage, traditional villages undertake the dual mission of inheriting traditional culture and promoting rural revitalization. Fully exploiting historical and cultural endowments and stimulating endogenous momentum with the support of external forces such as policy institutions constitute a core pathway toward sustainable development of traditional villages. From the dynamic perspective, this paper analyzes the types, characteristics and operating mechanisms of endogenous and exogenous driving forces affecting the evolution of traditional villages. It constructs a collaborative path of 'adaptive action' under the dual driving effect, and explores targeted coping strategies from four dimensions: industrial economy, spatial landscape, local talent cultivation and organizational governance. This study intends to provide a new theoretical perspective for the conservation and adaptive utilization of traditional villages.
