Abstract:
Power spatio-temporal big data encompasses temporal information, spatial information, and electricity consumption information (unique data). It offers fundamental conditions for exploring spatial patterns and scientifically guiding planning schemes in the realm of urban and rural planning. Compared with data sources like mobile phone signaling, online reviews, and street-view images, the distinctive feature of power spatio-temporal big data is its capacity to 'directly represent the scale of electricity consumption in urban and rural areas'. This paper takes the power spatio-temporal big data in the central urban area of Chengdu City, Sichuan Province in 2021 and 2022 as examples. It studies the data content and standardized processing methods customized to the research needs of urban and rural planning. Moreover, it explores the applications of this data in identifying the energy consumption status and utilization efficiency of urban and rural spaces, the spatial distribution of specific population groups and industries, as well as industrial development trends. It also serves as a reference for subsequent related research.
