Abstract:
In the context of rural revitalization, numerous policies have introduced the model of 'village contiguous development', and exploring village contiguous development is an important pathway to achieving rural revitalization. However, compared with other provinces and cities, Beijing's village contiguous development is still in its infancy, constrained by policies and plans, and facing issues such as insufficient awareness of contiguous planning, imperfect policies to encourage village contiguous development, unscaled industrial operation, and lack of sharing and common use mechanisms for public service facilities. This paper explores the development of Beijing's contiguous villages, selects representative village areas, analyzes their current situation, characteristics and challenges, draws on excellent domestic theories and cases, and proposes strategies and methodologies applicable to the development of Beijing's contiguous villages, which are aimed at exploring a unique rural development strategy in the outskirts of mega-cities by strengthening the planning leadership, improving the policy incentives and guarantee system, promoting the integration of industries and large-scale operation, and constructing a mechanism for the efficient sharing of public services and facilities. It is hoped that a unique road of village revitalization can be explored in the suburbs of mega-cities, and industrial agglomeration can be promoted to form a large-scale effect.
