Abstract: At present, the valuation of traditional villages mostly follows the evaluation model of cultural relics protection units and world cultural heritage. Establishing an evaluation system for the protection and utilization of traditional villages, evaluating the protection and utilization of traditional villages, can effectively reflect the problems and effectiveness of the protection and utilization process of traditional villages, guide the systematic protection of traditional villages, and classify the protection elements. Research forms a comprehensive evaluation index system for traditional village value elements from three aspects: authenticity, integrity, and sustainability. It is proposed to use expert scoring method to carry out condition evaluation work and carry out a combination of qualitative and quantitative evaluation work. Taking Miaoshang Village in Sanmenxia City, Henan Province as an example, an evaluation of the protection and utilization status of traditional villages is conducted, and targeted protection strategies are proposed based on the village's value characteristics and preservation status.
