Abstract:
Promoting the revitalization of rural industries is an important aspect of implementing the rural revitalization strategy. Compared with the abundant research on rural industrial revitalization in developed coastal areas, the domestic academic community has relatively insufficient attention to rural industries in inland marginal areas. Based on the industrial chain perspective, this paper conducts a study on the paths and formation mechanism of resource-based rural industries by utilizing qualitative research methods such as field surveys and in-depth interviews. Taking Hetang Village in Xingguo County, Jiangxi Province as a case study, the research found that: in terms of paths, the target industries demonstrated characteristics of deep development of the whole chain's value, multi-party collaboration contributing to resource value-added, and integration of resource development into the global value chain; in terms of influencing factors, resources, labor force, land, capital, technology, and policies were incorporated into different links of the industrial chain to promote the formation of the rural industry; in terms of the formation mechanism, resources served as the core driving force, attracting land and labor force to cluster towards the industry, and driving capital, under policy guidance, to transform technology into an important factor in the formation and extension of the industrial chain. To a certain extent, this study enriches the theoretical progress in rural industrial development and provides empirical insights for rural industrial revitalization.
