Abstract:
The construction of future villages is a new development goal proposed by the Zhejiang Provincial government in order to continuously deepen the ‘Zhejiang's Green Rural Revival Program' and promote the common prosperity of farmers and rural areas. Carrying out the evaluation of future rural construction is an important basis for guiding and clarifying the direction of future rural construction, establishing a normal evaluation mechanism, and promoting the implementation of the work. Taking Linhai City in Zhejiang Province as an example, based on the guidance of the provincial government and the current situation of rural development in Linhai City, this paper constructs an evaluation system for future rural construction from six dimensions of safety, livability, common prosperity, peace and beauty, culture, and digital governance. The evaluation is conducted based on the data from administrative village survey questionnaires, statistical data, and field investigation data of Linhai City. Based on the evaluation results, the future rural construction types of Linhai City are divided into three categories: cultural tourism characteristic type, complementary short-board type, and comprehensive development type. Optimization strategies are proposed to address each type's shortcomings in rural construction. The research results can provide valuable insights for deepening the future rural construction efforts in Linhai City while also contributing to summarizing and refining the regional model of future rural construction evaluation in Zhejiang Province.
