Abstract: This article is based on the rural construction evaluation in Chengdu in 2023. Combined with the evaluation index system of rural construction in Chengdu City, Sichuan Province, six typical sample counties are selected according to different economic development conditions. This evaluation focuses on 96 evaluation indicators across four dimensions: rural housing construction, village construction, public services, and village governance. It compares the findings with the average level of rural construction in sample counties nationwide and in Sichuan Province, as well as with industry technical standards and urban planning and development goals. Starting from the production and living needs of rural residents, this article comprehensively evaluates and analyzes the rural construction situation in Chengdu. Based on a comprehensive analysis of the evaluation results, this article summarizes the current achievements and problems of rural construction in Chengdu, analyzes the characteristics of rural construction in different regions of Chengdu, and proposes guidelines for the construction of livable, employable, and beautiful villages in the context of the integrated urban-rural development of Chengdu as a megacity in the new era for reference.
