Abstract:
As the main carrier of small-town citizens' public life and city image, public space plays a vital role in the development of small towns. However, at the current stage, there are still confusions in the spatial system, lack of functional allocation, and loss of regional characteristics in the public space planning in small towns. From the perspective of the daily life of residents in small towns, this paper interpreted the behaviors of residents' social interaction, shopping, activities, and cognition, built a 'four-network map' system, and further explored the spatial layout, function enhancement, and memory inheritance strategies of public space in small towns. Finally, it was applied to the public space of Xiaomiao Town in Hefei City.
