Abstract: Under the background of vigorously promoting rural revitalization and beautiful rural construction, the construction of rural public space has ushered in new development opportunities, and the potential needs of villagers in these public spaces need to be met urgently. Starting from the unconscious design concept, this paper analyzes the existing problems of rural public space, puts forward the application process of unconscious design concept in the optimization design of rural public space, and puts forward the optimization strategy of rural public space in the aspects of 'optimizing experience design', 'building living facilities' and 'paying attention to emotion'. Finally, taking the public space design of the main street area of Dongyangtuo Village, Junzhuang Town, Mentougou District, Beijing as an example, this paper discusses the practical feasibility of the strategy, in order to put forward new ideas for the optimal design of rural public space.
