Abstract: Red culture is a cultural resource with Chinese characteristics, rural areas are the cradle of red culture. Red culture tourism provides a good opportunity and a new direction for the protection and development of traditional villages with relevant resources. This paper analyzes and summarizes the development trend, opportunities and challenges of rural red culture tourism. In view of the traditional villages which take red culture as the breakthrough point of development, this paper puts forward some exploratory technical strategies from four aspects of planning, functional planning, architectural design and landscape design. Finally, taking Zhongfu Village, Changting County, Longyan City, Fujian Province as an example, this paper discusses how to apply these strategies to the project practice.
