Abstract:
China has basically established a top-down traditional village protection and management system, but the protection of traditional villages still faces many practical institutional difficulties, such as the lack of longterm protection and management system construction, the lack of laws, regulations, policy documents and other institutional guarantees, and the lack of funds, technology, personnel and other elements. This paper constructs an analytical framework for the protection and management system of traditional villages with ‘carrier elements’ as the main body. Taking Songyang County, Zhejiang Province as an example, by combing the specific measures in terms of brand, institution, technology, bankroll, talent, platform and so on, this paper analyzes the system of protection and management of traditional villages in Songyang, and concludes that the experience of ‘Songyang Model’ lies in paying attention to the building of global brands and straightening out the institutional mechanism of multi department management, standardizing the use of funds and standards, and stimulating the enthusiasm of multiple subjects to participate, in order to provide reference for the protection and management of traditional villages in other areas.
