Abstract:
Color is an important part of urban and rural landscape, which is of great significance to shape the visual effect of space and express the characteristics of urban and rural areas. In the process of rapid urbanization in China, the landscape of rural areas is greatly impacted, and the color composition based on the traditional construction concept and coordinated with the environment is challenged. Since the implementation of ‘Landscape Law’ in 2004, Japan has continued the color planning concepts and methods in urban and rural landscape planning since the 1970s, and formed a legalized, standardized and coordinated color planning management and control system, which is of great significance to landscape restoration and beautiful land construction in rural areas of Japan. This paper attempts to interpret the management and control characteristics and key points of color planning in rural areas of Japan since the ‘Landscape Law’, in order to provide reference for color management and landscape guidance in rural areas in China.
