Abstract: This paper compared the drainage treatment of traditional rural road construction in southern Hebei Province with the rainwater resource utilization measures under the concept of sponge city. Combined with the ongoing construction of green towns and villages, it put forward a new storm water management model, and related technologies are introduced into the construction of rural roads. And it introduced the combination of sponge city concept and rural revitalization construction, and the method of improving landscape design while optimizing drainage design of rural roads in southern Hebei region. And by combining with practical examples, the specifc technical methods and theoretical verifcation are analyzed. At the same time, it appealed to the whole society to pay more attention to rural roads and landscape construction, the application of ‘sponge city’ theory.
