Abstract: Traditional village is the crystallization of thousands of years of farming civilization in China, and is one of the most important cultural heritage of Chinese civilization which is known as the ‘living fossil’ of rural culture. In recent years, faced with the gradual decline and even disappearance of traditional villages, the government, academia and industry pay attention to the digital protection of traditional village heritage. However, the digital protection methods are mostly based on museums, websites and other display places, which is difcult to meet the needs of traditional village heritage's protection and management. This article takes the digital information platform of traditional village in Shanxi Province as an example. Discussing the functions and paths of traditional village's digital protection from the function distribution, data structure, module construction, technical support and implementation subjects, etc. This article provides a new perspective for the construction and function expansion of the traditional village digital protection platform, and provides a reference for the construction of the traditional village heritage management database.
