Abstract: In order to carry out the spirit of Xi Jinping's important instructions on the ‘thousand villages demonstration and village renovation’ in Zhejiang, the Ministry of Natural Resources organized the pilot project of comprehensive land consolidation in accordance with the relevant deployment requirements of ‘The Rural Revitalization Strategy Planning (2018-2022)’, and issued ‘Notification of the Ministry of Natural Resources on the Pilot Project on Comprehensive Land Consolidation in the Whole Region’ in December 2019. Meanwhile, in 2020 the No.1 Central document "The CPC Central Committee and the State Council's Suggestions on Grasping the Key Work of ‘Agriculture-Eural-Farmers’ and Ensuring the Realization of a Well-off Society as Scheduled", put forward the idea of ‘carrying out the comprehensive rural land consolidation pilot project and optimizing the layout of rural production, living and ecological space’. In this paper, through the systematic analysis of the development process of comprehensive land consolidation, the general law of land consolidation evolution is explored. Based on the practice and preliminary results of the comprehensive land consolidation in Shuangpu, Zhejiang Province, the planning practice of Shanghai rural unit, the construction of beautiful happy new village in Sichuan, the construction of urban pastoral complex in Wuhan, and etc., this paper summarizes the comprehensive land consolidation in the new period, so as to provide reference to comprehensive land consolidation work.
