Abstract:
The residential culture of Hakka people has distinct clan characteristics. However, there is still a lack of systematic analysis on the village morphotype level in the vision of the overall Hakka clan in the border area of Jiangxi, Fujian and Guangdong. This paper proposes a classification system of the Hakka villages by building a database of Hakka traditional villages and houses based on a universal survey, taking the composition logic of building units in the villages and the relationship between villages and topography as the classification standard. The space distribution of different types of Hakka villages are also analyzed to exploring the landscape pattern and development logic of traditional villages in the Hakka areas.
