Abstract:
This article takes the literature on the theme of traditional villages in Web of Science (WOS) as the data source, and uses CiteSpace as a method to visually analyze the high-frequency vocabulary in the literature, the centrality of highly cited vocabulary, and hot papers in English literature, in order to master the hotspots and development trends and to provide a reference for the research of traditional villages at home and abroad. The research results show that: (1) Most of the hot keywords in WOS appeared in 2008-2013. (2) European countries such as France, Germany, and the United Kingdom have greater influence, and the United States and China have the highest citation rates. (3) The content of the thesis with the highest research value is mainly focused on ecology, resources and environment protection, followed by land use and villagers' participation.
