Abstract:
The traditional village protection and development strategy from the perspective of ‘in situ’ is to use the dependency relationship between the village and the cultural, terroir, and architecture rooted in it, and use local resources to adapt to the conditions while solving its own problems while retaining its true nature the process of seeking development. This article uses field surveys and interviews to analyze the construction status of Xiling Village in Yangquan City, Shanxi Province one by one. On the basis of summarizing the existing problems and development advantages of Xiling Village, it implants ‘in situ’ village protection and development. The concept proposes a series of targeted strategies from three aspects: talents ‘in situ’, architecture ‘in situ’ and culture ‘in situ’. While exploring new paths for the protection and development of traditional villages, it extends to the entire rural development category, thereby promoting the improvement of the overall rural construction level and helping the overall revitalization of rural villages.
