Abstract: Rural space is an important carrier to realize the modernization of the national governance system. In order to build a structure of national governance by the people and for the people, the joint creation concept aims at responding to people's new aspiration for a better life and a better environment, and emphases the efforts to improve the living environment in urban and rural areas. Based on the empirical study of the planning and construction of Yangang Village in Guangshan County, Yangguang City, Henan Province, this paper firstly analyses the uniqueness of rural governance, then discusses the importance of rural political system in rural governance. Then it states the leading role of the villager autonomy system under the concept of the joint creation. In the final part, the specific practical path of the joint creation concept is discussed. In order to build a village constructed, shared and governed by all villagers, the improvement of the rural grass-roots self-government organizations should start with the perspective of public participation and villagers' autonomy, and take the villagers as the main body, as well as explore new ways of rural revitalization in the new era.
