Abstract: Rural revitalization puts forward new requirements for the current planning of the human settlements in traditional villages, where finding the breakthrough point is of great importance. This paper takes the "function" and "space" of the village as the break through poinst and advance points of the planning of human settlements, and puts forward the strategies of "function reset" and "space gestalt" for the traditional villages. Combined with Professor Yang Guiqing's "working methods of rural revitalization" and the characteristics of traditional villages in Huizhou, this paper sums up a practical "four-step" strategy, which is applied to the human settlements planning of Lixi village in Huangshan City, Anhui Province, so as to provide relevant reference and ideas for the revitalization of other traditional villages in Huizhou.
