Abstract: The concept of urban-rural integration development has been put forward in order to achieve balanced development of urban-rural relations in the new period. The research on urban-rural integration in China has a history of around 30 years and these studies are needed to be well unscrambled systematically. The CiteSpace V software was used to conduct document visualization analysis on the articles about Chinese urban-rural integration development, which were collected from China National Knowledge Infrastructure from 1999 to 2018. Through the analysis of the publication date, literature authors and institutions, it can be concluded that the number of domestic publications in this field has been increasing in the past twenty years, but the recognition of the results is low. In addition, domestic research institutions are simplified and there is less cooperation among them. Based on the results of visual analysis, this paper drew a keyword clustering map and determined three hotspots of urban-rural integration development (e.g. formation and evolution of concepts, mechanism, level evaluation and path analysis). On the basis of a brief review of the above three hotspots, it was expected to predict the development trend of the research in this field.
