Abstract:
The long-term residence intention of migrant workers in the inflow place is the basis of their willingness to be urbanized on the spot. Based on the field visit and questionnaire survey of the migrant population in Zhili in the summer of 2019, this paper analyzes the residence willingness of migrant workers and its influencing factors in Zhili by means of quantitative analysis, in order to provide the basis for the planning, construction and management, and policy formulation of Zhili. The results show that: (1) Nearly half of migrant workers are willing to stay in Zhili for a long time. The long-term residence intention of the enterprise managers is the strongest, and the worker's long-term residence intention is the weakest; (2) Migrant workers who are married, own private houses in Zhili, whose children can receive local education and partners move with them, and who are respected by the local people, are more willing to stay for a long time; (3) The length of residence time in Zhili, place of origin, urban ecological environment and public facilities of migrant workers have no significant impact on their long-term residence intention.
